What is National Health ID ?

The National Health ID will be health identification card or number. This ID will be repository of all health related information of a person. Actually this ID includes all health related problem, disease, surgery and all previous medical treatment. This health ID will connect patient to the doctor and doctor will do analysis and treat the patient disease. 

Is this ID need for Indians?

I think, it will improve health system but this practices only possible with new medical ecosystem. This ID will include personal health data and Indian constitution does not have any data protection act. So first of all, some changes will be necessary for medical ecosystem as well as data protection.

Is this health ID safe?

When any government or organisation I will seek information for make ID. At this time, they should think about privacy of people. I am trying to explain that if health id has made for a person and ID includes his personal disease like HIV, aids, TB, diabetes, blood pressure, venerable disease etc. and it leaks in front of of his neighbour or family members then those person feels guilty and uncomfortable himself. Thus somehow it will be risky step but with proper management, this health ID will give better result.

Will it boost health system in India?

Of course, it will boost and improve health system in India. This ID will work on previous database and identifying the disease so as to best treatment can be provided to the patient. I say again and again that main concern of health ID should be on care patient privacy and data protection.
